Data Scientist – Fintech – $140-160K – Raleigh, NC

Our  Client is a leading fintech company is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to join their team.

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex financial data, building models, and developing strategies to optimize business decisions. As a Data Scientist, you will work closely with other departments to understand their needs and provide them with data-driven insights to improve business performance.

Responsibilities:

Develop predictive models to forecast financial trends and identify potential risks and opportunities
Conduct deep-dive analyses of complex financial data sets to uncover insights and trends
Work closely with product and engineering teams to develop new products and features based on data-driven insights
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies to optimize business decisions
Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Use statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to build predictive models
Communicate complex analyses and insights to non-technical stakeholders
Continuously monitor and improve the performance of predictive models

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
5+ years of experience in data science or a related field
Experience with Python tech stack (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn)
Strong understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, D3.js, Matplotlib)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience with financial data is a plus
