Engineering Manager – React.js – Hybrid – Lisbon

Continuous Solution’s have partners with a leading travel marketplace, whose mission is to make road trips available to everyone. Their platform allows their customer base to go on high-quality road trips at affordable prices.

They are growing with a truly exciting roadmap for the future and are looking for an experienced Engineering manager / Technical Lead to join the team to lead a team of up to 6 Engineers.

They work with AWS, and our monolith tech-stack is constituted by Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Vue.js + Next, and Postgres database. on the front-end, they are Changing their stack to React + Next.

As an Engineering Manager you will be responsible:

• Get involved with the business and gather stakeholders’ feedback.
• Work with developers to design algorithms and flowcharts.
• Own the code end-to-end by producing clean, reusable, efficient code based on specifications, testing, and deploying it to production.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing code.
• Recommend and execute improvements.
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.
• Actively collaborate in SCRUM events in your best capacity.
• Sufficient knowledge of AWS service, components, Docker containers, Git/GitHub, and deployment pipelines.
• Express yourself fluently in Portuguese and/or English.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of product development work.
• Previous experience Managing teams with a minimum headcount of 4
• Hands on coding experience with React + Next,
• Experience with REST API’s.
• Develop features to enhance the user experience.
• Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability (desktop and mobile).
• Maintain brand consistency throughout the design.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and GA/GA4 integration.
