Head of Mobile Engineering – Dublin

My client is a global bank based in Dublin. They are looking to enhance the organisations suite of client facing applications. In turn, the need to hire a Head of Mobile Engineering to drive the mobile development team in a new direction.
This suite of applications is integral for their client’s day to day business. Available in circa 100 Countries and over 120 currencies across a variety of languages. Delivering accounts in real time information across multiple channels from desktop to mobile devices.
This is a key hire for the Dublin operation and the successful candidate will be tasked with designing and implementing new innovative applications to enhance their daily users experience. Upon the business requirements, the Head of Engineering will be tasked with developing and growing their own team of developers across multiple geographic locations.

To be considered for this role you must have;

•  Bsc in Relevant area preferably computer science.
•  Over 10+ years commercial experience
•  Minimum of 5 years managing team in excess of 10 people.
•  Must have mobile development experience or knowledge in Native & Hybrid development languages.
•  Track record in leading and driving R&D projects
• Previous experience managing teams directly onsite and offshore remote teams.
• Knowledge of Web Services
• Should have experience with Continuous Integration/ Continuous deployment
• Experience in the financial industry is preferred but not essential
•  A passion for innovative and emerging technologies
• Must have excellent technical written and verbal communication skills.
